The software then analyses the loop, and breaks it into its constituent rhythmic components, known as 'slices' - hence those dodgy references to Japanese chefs in the brochure. Well, as with most 'ground-breaking' pieces of musical kit, summarising the functions of ReCycle! in a single, well-turned phrase is far from easy. It's innovative, it's clever, it's useful, and you'll want a copy as soon as you see it in action. Keith Floyd influences aside, ReCycle! looks set to be one of this year's major software successes.
